Bob Cooney is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Real Estate Group. He has represented clients in acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, build-to-suit projects, joint ventures, and financings, including structured finance transactions. Mr. Cooney also collaborates regularly with the Private Investment Funds Practice in connection with real estate fund formation and investments into real estate funds.
In the real estate industry, Mr. Cooney’s clients include REITs, pension funds and privately held real estate companies. He also represents Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations with significant real estate holdings.
Mr. Cooney is active in the pro bono community. He is a board member and pro bono counsel to the Chester Community Improvement Project, a non-profit housing developer. He also handles pro bono real estate matters and is a board member for Philadelphia’s Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
Mr. Cooney is a former member of the Executive Board of the Real Property Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and a lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Mr. Cooney is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
