Jennifer Mott Williams is an associate in Morgan Lewis's eData Practice. Ms. Williams assists clients, IT personnel, and Morgan Lewis attorneys in developing and implementing strategies for managing electronic discovery. She routinely provides legal advice to clients regarding litigation holds, collection of data in response to outstanding discovery requests, culling methods and iterative search term processes for responding to discovery, the document review process, options for document and data production, and applying principles of proportionality in the electronic discovery process to help clients save costs.
Ms. Williams also counsels clients prior to litigation on general data governance issues. She assists clients in implementing best practices for document retention and disposition, remote worksite policies, and protecting information assets.
Ms. Williams has previously served as national eDiscovery coordinating counsel for a number of similar class actions, working with in-house counsel and outside counsel from multiple jurisdictions.
Ms. Williams earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2000 and her B.S., with distinction, in commerce from the University of Virginia in 1997.
Ms. Williams is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
