Micala R. Bernardo is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Bernardo assists in the representation of clients involved in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; wrongful discharge; misappropriation of trade secrets; and enforcement of noncompetition and other employment agreements.
Ms. Bernardo also assists employers in the preparation and enforcement of employment, noncompetition, and confidentiality agreements; counsels employers regarding hiring and termination decisions; assists employers regarding compliance with various state and federal laws; and prepares employee handbooks and other employment policies.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Bernardo was an associate at a leading international law firm.
Ms. Bernardo earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007, where she was named a Dean's Scholar and served as a member of the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy. She received her B.S., magna cum laude, in journalism and economics from Texas A&M University in 2004.
Ms. Bernardo is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
