Frances Marine

Manager of Public Relations - East Coast

Frances Marine is Morgan Lewis’s manager of public relations for the East Coast offices of the firm. She works with firm management and practice group leaders to plan and execute public relations strategies. Based in Philadelphia, Ms. Marine is the media contact for attorneys operating in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Harrisburg, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Princeton, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C. Her efforts comprise both a geographic and practice group focus aimed at promoting the firm’s business activities, its attorneys, its pro bono and diversity efforts, and its community relationships in the news media.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Marine worked in governmental public relations at the state and federal levels. From 2006 to 2007, she served as a senior policy advisor for public affairs and public diplomacy at the U.S. State Department. Prior to assuming that role, Ms. Marine led the Florida public affairs team for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during the historic 2005 hurricane season. She served as a speechwriter for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush in early 2005, having previously served as director of communications at the Florida Department of Education from 2003 to 2004. She began her career as a spokeswoman at the Florida Department of Corrections in 1999.

Ms. Marine earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2003. She was a member of CUA’s Comparative and International Law Institute, active in the Moot Court Association, and served as a certified student attorney before D.C. Superior Court with CUA’s Families & the Law Clinic. In 2001, Ms. Marine earned a certificate in International Business & Trade Law at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She graduated from the Florida State University in 1999 with a B.A. in social science. A native of Miami and daughter of Cuban-born parents, Ms. Marine is fluent in Spanish.
