Jeffrey R. Hartwig

Jeffrey R. Hartwig is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice and a member of the Emerging Business and Technology Group. Mr. Hartwig’s practice focuses on advising emerging growth companies in connection with financings, including structured financings and mergers and acquisitions, as well as counseling clients on general business issues.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Hartwig worked at a large Ohio law firm, where he litigated cases for major record labels, life science companies, and REITs. He has represented companies in the media, technology, entertainment, and life sciences sectors. Mr. Hartwig was a member of the board of trustees of a nationally recognized dance organization and an active participant in economic development initiatives for the city of Cleveland.  

Mr. Hartwig received his J.D., cum laude, and his Certificate of International and Comparative Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2004.  While in law school, he served as executive editor for the Journal of Law and Commerce. Mr. Hartwig received his B.A. in French from San Francisco State University in 2001.

Mr. Hartwig is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Ohio and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
