Carol C. Carty is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Her practice involves representing clients in complex commercial litigations. She has a background in representing corporate and individual policyholders in insurance coverage disputes in connection with environmental and product liabilities claims; bad faith litigation; issues under directors and officers' policies; reinsurance; and insurance liquidations, including claims against guaranty associations. She has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as in arbitrations and mediations. Ms. Carty also counsels clients on insurance issues.
Ms. Carty is part of the firm's cross-disciplinary retail initiative, which focuses on the sometimes unique challenges facing retail companies. She has been involved in litigations regarding what information companies may release about customers, including data privacy class actions.
In 2006, Ms. Carty received a Morgan Lewis pro bono award for the significant insurance settlement she secured for a family whose home and personal property were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
