Kevin S. Shmelzer is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice and a member of the Business Transactions Group. Mr. Shmelzer focuses his practice on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings, private equity transactional matters, corporate governance issues, and general representation of public and emerging growth clients.
Mr. Shmelzer represents clients in a variety of fields, including the energy, real estate, technology, banking, and manufacturing industries.
Before law school, Mr. Shmelzer, a certified public accountant licensed in New York and Pennsylvania, worked as a senior associate in the Assurance Business Advisory Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York.
Mr. Shmelzer earned his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2005, where he received the Arthur L. Berns Memorial Prize and served as the business editor for the Temple Law Review. He earned his B.S., summa cum laude, in accounting from Lehigh University in 2000, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Shmelzer is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
