Kristine E. Bailey is of counsel in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Bailey represents clients in structured finance, public finance, institutional trust risk management, and general corporate matters. Her practice focuses on workouts and financial restructurings of securitization transactions, and state and federal court litigation on behalf of financial institutions and other creditors. Ms. Bailey also represents trustees, servicers, securities administrators, collateral agents, custodians, issuers, lenders, borrowers, and other participants in structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex financing transactions. These transactions include secured transactions, asset-backed financings (including RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, CBOs, CDOs, etc.), securitized receivables financing, credit enhancement, and municipal finance.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Bailey was senior counsel in the financial services group of one of the largest law firms in the United States.
Ms. Bailey has taught courses in mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution at the University of San Francisco. She also has experience as a business analyst with Pacific Telesis Corporation and as a software engineer with Electronic Data Systems.
Ms. Bailey received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law; her M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley; and her B.A., with honors, from Vanderbilt University.
Ms. Bailey is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
