Thomas V. Ayala is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Ayala focuses his practice in the areas of products liability, mass torts, and complex business disputes. He has represented pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare services companies, as well as industrial and construction products manufacturing companies, in a broad range of litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters. These matters have included class actions, MDL proceedings, third-party payor litigation, and serial litigation at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Ayala served as a law clerk to Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ayala earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 2004, where he was named to the Order of the Coif. While at Villanova, he served as editor-in-chief for the Villanova Law Review and authored, "Development of the First Amendment Right of Access to Adjudicatory Hearings in the Third Circuit: Does the Ongoing Threat of Terrorism Call for a Secret Justice System?" 48 Vill. L. Rev 1303 (2003). Also while at Villanova, Mr. Ayala served as a legal extern to the late Judge Charles R. Weiner of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ayala is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
