Jill Barbarino is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Barbarino's practice covers the full spectrum of labor and employment law matters, including employment litigation and employment counseling. She represents employers in individual and class action litigation and in administrative agency actions concerning federal and state labor and employment statutes. These statutes include the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws, and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. Ms. Barbarino represents clients in a variety of industries, including the casino, airline, pharmaceuticals, retail, and financial services industries.
Ms. Barbarino's practice has involved all aspects of litigation, including presenting oral arguments to federal and state courts and defending employers in forums such as the American Arbitration Association and the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. She has also represented employers under investigation by administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division on Human Rights, and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights.
Ms. Barbarino earned her J.D., cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law in 2004. While in law school, she served as articles and notes editor of the St. John's Law Review and as president of the Justinian Law Society. She earned her B.A., cum laude, in politics, philosophy, and law from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2001.
Ms. Barbarino is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
