Marsha S. Katz

Marsha S. Katz is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Katz focuses her practice on the structuring, formation, governance of, and primary and secondary investment in domestic and international private investment funds, including hedge funds, fund of funds, venture capital funds and other private equity funds. She provides counsel to major financial institutions, investment banks, and other institutional investors in their roles as sponsors and investment entities.

Ms. Katz also has been involved in a wide range of transactions in finance, mergers and acquisitions and securities law, including secured lending, acquisition financing, domestic and cross-border acquisitions and sales of both publicly and privately held companies, strategic alliances, private equity transactions, private placements, structured and complex derivative transactions, and general corporate and compliance matters.

Ms. Katz received her LL.M. in taxation in 1998 and her J.D. in 1997 from New York University School of Law, where she was a student editor of the Tax Law Review and an articles editor for the Annual Survey of American Law. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Rutgers College in 1994.

Ms. Katz is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
