Kevin D. Delaney is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Real Estate Practice. Our real estate attorneys represent a variety of real estate owners and stakeholders, including: national and international companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs), institutional lenders, private equity funds, pension funds, and advisers in connection with their ownership, use, and financing of real estate.
Mr. Delaney regularly advises a wide range of clients, including prominent corporations, financial institutions, and landlords in sophisticated transactions involving the financing, leasing, sale, and acquisition of real property. He works closely with our Business and Finance Practice advising clients on the real property issues associated with complex mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Delaney also has experience handling residential real estate transactions, including issues associated with REO properties and managing complex tax structures.
Mr. Delaney's representative transactions include:
- Represented a publicly traded wholesale food distribution company regarding real estate matters in connection with a $1.8 billion credit facility.
- Representation of one of the nation's largest banks in a variety of matters relating to its Real Estate Owned (REO) assets.
- Represented an investment bank in a $525 million refinance of an oil and gas refinery.
- Represented a real estate investment company in a $59 million acquisition of a 490,000 square foot corporate warehouse facility in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania.
- Represented a developer, owner and operator of utility grade wind projects in real estate matters related to its acquisition of a 150 MW wind project in California.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Delaney was a financial services associate in the Philadelphia office of a prominent East Coast law firm. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2005 and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Lehigh University in 1995.
Mr. Delaney is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
