Lindsey M. Shinn is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices. Ms. Shinn focuses her practice on patent litigation and related intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Shinn served as a law clerk to Judge Mary Little Cooper of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She also participated in the firm's Public Interest Fellowship Program working at the Center for Democracy and Technology, where she analyzed and wrote about international data privacy, intermediary liability, and free expression law and policy, particularly focusing on developments in the European Union.

Ms. Shinn received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2009, where she was the executive managing editor of the Hastings Law Journal and named to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she was also a member of the moot court program, where her teams were finalists and wrote the best petitioner briefs at the John Marshall Information Technology and Privacy Law Competition and the Moot Court National Championship. Additionally, Ms. Shinn served as a judicial extern for Judge Jeffrey S. White of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to attending law school, she worked in the Internet-start-up and non-profit fields. Ms. Shinn received an A.B. in history and computer science from Brown University in 2000.
