Liliam F. Yoshikawa is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Yoshikawa focuses her practice on commercial law, with an emphasis in project finance transactions. She routinely assists clients in the negotiation and structuring of commercial transactions and has advised clients in a wide variety of cross-border transactions and commercial contracts, including mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure development, trademark and technology transfer issues, and financing in the energy, mining, oil and gas, biofuels, logistics, agribusiness, manufacturing, civil construction, and retail market industries. Ms. Yoshikawa also has represented international energy and mining companies at different project phases in Brazil.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Yoshikawa worked at an international law firm. A recent assignment on a secondment basis involved assisting an important player in the renewable wind industry sector with its merger and acquisition and later with its business development in Brazil.

Ms. Yoshikawa earned her LL.M. in finance from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Institute for Law and Finance in 2005 and her Tax Specialist Degree, with honors, from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, Coordenadoria Geral de Especialização, Aperfeiçoamento e Extensão (COGEAE/PUC) in 2003. She earned her LL.B., with honors, from the Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas in 2000. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and German.
