Mark L. Opitz is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Opitz focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and general corporate matters. He also has experience in commercial lending and aircraft and vessel financing. Mr. Opitz represents a wide range of clients, including public and private companies, financial institutions, and investors.

Mr. Opitz has advised on a variety of transactions, including cross-border and domestic acquisitions; sales by both public companies and private equity investors; venture capital investments; and financing of acquisitions, accounts receivable, inventory, real estate, vessels, and aircraft.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Opitz was an associate at a large law firm based in Ohio. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Mr. Opitz received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2006, where he was a White Scholar and served as executive editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. He earned his B.S., summa cum laude, in economics from Saint Louis University in 2003.

Mr. Opitz is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
