Simon J. Torres is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. His practice is focused on employee benefits litigation relating to denial-of-benefit and breach of fiduciary claims against plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and service providers. Most recently, Mr. Torres represented defined contribution plan fiduciaries in "excessive fees" and "stock drop" litigation. He advises clients on numerous employee benefit matters, such as pension, 401(k), and health and welfare plan administration and domestic relations orders for both defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
Prior to becoming an associate, Mr. Torres was a client employee benefits advisor for Morgan Lewis from May 2002 until September 2006.
Mr. Torres received his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2006 and his B.A. from Georgetown University, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in 2000.
Mr. Torres is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
