Christopher Banks is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Litigation Practice, specializing in complex litigation. Mr. Banks' experience includes cases involving allegations of trade secret misappropriation, antitrust, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and securities fraud.
Mr. Banks has broad civil litigation experience, including serving as lead counsel in a multi-week arbitration, examining and preparing witnesses at bench and jury trials, taking and defending depositions, managing discovery, and successfully prosecuting and opposing dispositive motions and motions for preliminary equitable relief.
Representative cases in which Mr. Banks was a key member of the trial team include:
- Successful prosecution of claims for a sports agency which resulted in a multi-million dollar verdict for the client.
- Successful defense of leading direct marketing company in multi-million dollar case alleging copyright infringement, trade dress infringement, and false advertising claims.
- Successful midtrial defense verdict for client in case involving a $450 million claim for misappropriation of corporate opportunity, among others.
Mr. Banks’ experience includes working with computer forensic experts, both as members of the client litigation team and as neutral third-party experts.
Mr. Banks received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2001. He earned his M.A., with distinction, in international affairs from The George Washington University in 1997, and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Nebraska in 1994.
Mr. Banks is admitted to practice in California.
