Jennifer N. Layfield

Jennifer N. Layfield is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Layfield focuses her practice on transactions in the energy industry.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Layfield was an associate at a national law firm where she focused on energy and climate change. While there, she defended natural gas traders and advised clients on climate change legislation and related legal issues.

Ms. Layfield earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School in 2004, where she was the recipient of the Shattuck Award for Leadership. She earned her B.A., with high honors, in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2001.

Ms. Layfield is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
