Jacqueline "Jacki" F. Mirowitz is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. Ms. Mirowitz's practice involves every aspect of employee benefits, executive and equity compensation, and related areas. She handles a variety of employee benefit matters, including the drafting and design of qualified pension and profit-sharing plans, health and welfare arrangements, deferred compensation plans, and employment agreements. Additionally, Ms. Mirowitz focuses on regulatory compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA, and she performs due diligence reviews of employee benefits issues in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Mirowitz was an associate with a regional law firm, where she focused on employee benefit matters. These matters included qualified retirement plans, multiemployer plans, QDROs, and beneficiary issues.
Ms. Mirowitz earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2007, where she was a member of the Duquesne Law Review and the editor-in-chief of Juris Magazine, the law school's legal magazine. During her tenure as editor-in-chief, Juris received the ABA annual award for best law school magazine. While in law school, Ms. Mirowitz interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and with Judge Paul F. Lutty, Jr. of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
Ms. Mirowitz earned her M.A. in human resources management from Washington University in 1988 and her B.A. in public relations and speech communications from Tulane University in 1982.
Ms. Mirowitz is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
