Patrick Rehfield is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. Mr. Rehfield focuses on the securities and legal aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, ESOPs, and other qualified and nonqualified employee benefit plans, including equity compensation, executive contracts, and Section 409A compliance. Mr. Rehfield also has worked with publicly traded companies on SEC disclosure and compliance issues, NYSE and NASDAQ listing requirements and other corporate governance matters. He also has dealt with both federal and state income tax issues relating to mergers, acquisitions and other restructurings, as well as tax controversy and compliance matters with payroll tax audits, FICA refund claims, and multi-state tax and withholding issues.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Rehfield was an associate at a U.S.-based law firm, where he was a member of their tax section.
Mr. Rehfield earned his LL.M. in securities and finance from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003 and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2000.
Mr. Rehfield is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
