Theresa Mak is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Mak's practice focuses on employment litigation and arbitration with an emphasis on defending sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. Ms. Mak counsels employers on all aspects of employment law, including risk management and litigation prevention, and has experience providing harassment prevention training to employees and managers. In addition to advising and defending corporate clients, Ms. Mak represents nonprofit, charitable organizations.
Ms. Mak received her J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley in 2000. While in law school, Ms. Mak worked for the Berkeley Dispute Resolution Service counseling clients and facilitating a resolution of their multifaceted disputes. In addition, Ms. Mak externed for Senior Judge D. Lowell Jensen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Ms. Mak received her B.A., with high honors, from the University of California, Davis in 1997.
Ms. Mak is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
