Vanessa Kwong is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Franklin scholarship. Prior to law school, Ms. Kwong studied at the National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan. Ms. Kwong received her B.S.F.S. in international political economy with an Asian studies concentration from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 2002. Ms. Kwong is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English and is conversational in Cantonese.

  • Represented sellers of approximately $670 million in Marcellus shale natural gas assets to a global natural gas company.
  • Represented a California-based energy company in approximately $620 million project financing of a 484 MW gas-fired facility.
  • Represented a diversified energy company in sale of $840 million of power generation facilities and qualifying 1031 acquisition of $940 million purchase of utilities assets.
  • Represented independent power producer in the acquisition and lease-back of gas-fired turbines in Southern California.
