Timothy P. Matthews is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Energy Practice. Mr. Matthews represents utilities, industrial, and other licensees before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Department of Labor, and other regulatory agencies, as well as the federal courts. He advises clients on matters related to electric utility restructuring, new nuclear plants, wrongdoing investigations, discrimination allegations, regulatory compliance, and complex outage-related disputes, including proceedings in mediation, arbitration, and litigation before state and federal courts.

Mr. Matthews played significant roles in the series of complex litigation and arbitration following the Millstone and Davis-Besse outages.

Mr. Matthews worked as a project manager with the Nuclear Management and Resources Council (NUMARC) in Washington, D.C. from 1991 to 1992 and served as congressional liaison with the Office of the Secretary of the Navy from 1989 to 1991. He previously served as a nuclear-trained officer in the United States Navy and served on nuclear-powered warships, and qualified as Chief Engineer.

Mr. Matthews is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
