Ira White is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice and chair of the firm's Private Equity Practice.

Mr. White has recently represented clients in the pharmaceutical, automotive, retail, technology, rail and manufacturing industries.

Representative transactions of Mr. White include his representation of AIG Highstar in its acquisition of AMPORTS, Inc.; Progress Rail, a leading supplier of rail services, in its sale to Caterpillar; the management of Freescale Semiconductor, Neiman Marcus and SunGard Data Systems in their acquisitions by consortiums of private equity firms; One Equity Partners in its acquisition of Quintiles Transnational Corp., a leading product and commercial development services company for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies; Clinical Development Capital in its formation and funding for late stage clinical trials for therapeutic compounds and device products; Smartalk in its sale to AT&T Corp.; and Moneyline Telerate, a global provider of financial information for the capital markets, in its sale to Reuters.

Mr. White is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
