Douglas M. Rutherford is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Rutherford focuses his practice on acquisition and structured finance, derivatives, secured lending, treasury management, and project finance. He has represented commercial and investment banks, borrowers, mutual funds, hedge funds, pension trust advisors, finance and lending companies, insurance companies, and issuers for more than 20 years.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Rutherford was a partner at a large full-service law firm. While there, he co-managed the firm's asset securitization group.

Mr. Rutherford received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1983 and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Carleton College in 1980.

Mr. Rutherford is a member of several American Bar Association committees. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the District of Columbia, Minnesota, and Colorado and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
