Annie C. Wells is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Wells focuses her practice on all areas of corporate insolvency. She has represented debtors, financial institutions, creditors, potential acquirers, landlords and liquidators, and other parties of interest on a variety of bankruptcy matters, including debtor-in-possession financing; out of court restructurings; creditors' rights; retail store closings; bankruptcy litigation; and the purchase and sale of assets in bankruptcy.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Wells was an associate at the New York office of an international law firm. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk to Judge Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Ms. Wells received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2003, where she was associate editor for the Fordham International Law Journal. She received her B.S., magna cum laude, from New York University Stern School of Business in 1998. Ms. Wells is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Ms. Wells is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
