Athalia E. Lujo is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Lujo’s practice focuses on the representation of management in a wide range of complex employment cases before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies. In particular, she regularly represents and advises employers on discrimination and wage and hour issues, including class and collective actions; lawsuits involving race, national origin, sex, age, disability, and pregnancy discrimination; agency charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; and wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state laws. Ms. Lujo also regularly represents retail establishments in matters related to accessibility issues under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Ms. Lujo received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006, where she was executive editor of the University of Miami Law Review. Ms. Lujo received her B.A. in pre-medicine, with a minor in religion, from Columbia University in 2001.
Ms. Lujo is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
