Menachem O. Zelmanovitz is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Practice. Mr. Zelmanovitz has an extensive background in the field of creditor’s rights, bankruptcy and commercial litigation.

In the bankruptcy area, Mr. Zelmanovitz has represented institutional and other major creditors, official and unofficial creditor’s committees and trustees in both reorganization and liquidation cases. His representations span all aspects of bankruptcy law, including litigation, investigation, negotiation and preparation of plans of reorganization.

 Mr. Zelmanovitz has also represented secured and senior creditors in state and federal courts, including actions for the enforcement and foreclosure upon collateral, insurance coverage disputes, documentary letter of credit and lender liability litigations.

Mr. Zelmanovitz has lectured on basic business bankruptcy and bankruptcy asset sales for the Practicing Law Institute. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles including "The Reconsideration of Contingent and Disputed Claims Under Bankruptcy Code Section 502(j)," 23 Seton Hall L.R. 1612 (1993), "Nondebtor Releases in Reorganization Plans- Are They Still Viable or a Thing of the Past in the Second Circuit?", 25-May Am. Bankr. Inst. J. 16 (May 2006), "Going, Going, Almsot Gone: Deepening Insolvency- A Disappearing Theory of Liability," 2 Pratt's Journal of Bankruptcy Law 608 (March 2007). He is also a certified bankruptcy mediator in the Southern District of New York.
