Shana R. Cappell is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Cappell's practice encompasses a variety of commercial and white collar litigation matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts. She has represented clients in matters involving allegations of fraud, violations of the anti-bribery and books and records provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, violations of the False Claims Act, and other complex commercial litigation matters. She has experience conducting internal corporate investigations and advising clients on compliance matters.
Ms. Cappell earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2002. While attending law school, Ms. Cappell served as articles editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems and she was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. In 1999, she earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in history from Barnard College, Columbia University. Ms. Cappell is proficient in Hebrew and has a working knowledge of French.
Ms. Cappell is admitted to practice in New York and Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
