Haining Shu, Ph.D., is a patent agent in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Dr. Shu focuses her practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the mechanical and electrical arts. She prepares and prosecutes patent applications for both domestic and foreign clients, conducts patentability and clearance analysis, and performs research and analysis for patent portfolio development and due diligence for intellectual property asset transactions.
Dr. Shu has an extensive background in electrical engineering, image processing, sensing technology, and telecommunications. She participated in the telecommunication standardization work with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and has also served as a reviewer for IEEE journals and conference proceedings in this field. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Dr. Shu was a research engineer at the WiMax Forum world certified laboratory in North America.
Dr. Shu received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering and telecommunications from the University of Texas in 2007 and her B.S. in electronics from Peking University, China in 1996. Dr. Shu is a recipient of the Texas Telecommunications Engineering Consortium (TxTEC) Scholarship and the Rudolf Hermann Graduate Fellowship.
Dr. Shu is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
