John F. X. Peloso is counsel in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Peloso is an experienced trial lawyer, whose practice has focused on all aspects of securities litigation, including class actions, broker-dealer matters, and enforcement and disciplinary proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange and other self-regulatory organizations.
Mr. Peloso has held a number of government positions. He served as law clerk to Judge John F.X. McGohey of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. From 1961 to 1965, he was an assistant U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York, and from 1970 to 1975, he was Chief Trial Counsel for the New York Regional Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Active in professional organizations, Mr. Peloso has held several leadership positions in the Business Law and the Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association. Mr. Peloso frequently writes and lectures on securities litigation issues and currently is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham Law School.
Mr. Peloso is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
