Megan R. Braden is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Braden focuses her practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on business disputes. In her general commercial litigation practice, Ms. Braden has represented and counseled individual and corporate clients in a variety of matters, including general commercial business disputes, breach of contract actions, fraud, insurance recovery, litigation related to outsourcing, and real estate actions.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Braden participated in the firm's Public Interest Fellowship Program clerking for Judge William D. Maddux, Presiding Judge of the Law Division in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Ms. Braden earned her J.D., cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law in 2009, where she was editor-in-chief of the DePaul Business and Commercial Law Journal and published an article titled "Defining the Parameters: When an ERISA Summary Plan Description Trumps the Corresponding Plan Document." She also earned CALI Awards for Excellence in Legal Writing and in Legal Professional Responsibility. Ms. Braden earned her B.S., cum laude, in communication studies with a minor in Spanish from Northwestern University in 2006, where she was named a Communications Century Scholar and was vice president of Lambda Pi Eta, a national communications honor society.
Ms. Braden is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
