Michael S. Thorne is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice and a member of the Private Investment Funds Practice.
Mr. Thorne represents private investment funds and investment management firms on fund structuring and formation, trading and other investment activities, capital raising, and ongoing operations. These funds include domestic and non-U.S. hedge funds, private equity funds, and funds of funds. Mr. Thorne also represents institutional investors on their investments in private investment funds. He advises clients on registration and other regulatory issues under the federal securities and commodities laws.
Mr. Thorne received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 2002 and his B.S. in accounting from Fordham University in 1997.
