Andrew C. Whitney is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation and Intellectual Property Practices. He represents corporations in intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Whitney's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including actions relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He has litigated patent actions involving computing and software technology, as well as various mechanical devices. Mr. Whitney has also handled complex commercial and class actions, including securities class actions and products liability class actions. He has handled all aspects of litigation from pre-complaint investigation through trial and post-trial appeals in actions throughout the United States.
Mr. Whitney earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2005. He received his M.A. in behavioral neuroscience from Dartmouth College in 2000 and his B.A. in biology and psychology from Johns Hopkins University in 1997.
Mr. Whitney works with the Support Center for Child Advocates to represent dependent children. He also serves on its Research and Evaluation Committee.
Mr. Whitney is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.
