Finnbarr D. Murphy is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Murphy's practice focuses on public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities regulation.

Mr. Murphy has represented issuers and underwriters in a broad range of public and private securities transactions, including initial, follow-on, and secondary public offerings; Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings; registered "shelf" offerings; and exchange offers. These transactions have involved a variety of products, including common and preferred equity securities, high-yield debt, investment grade debt, convertible debt, and pass-through trust certificates. Mr. Murphy also regularly counsels companies in connection with corporate governance matters and ongoing securities law compliance. He frequently advises foreign companies in capital raising transactions and on general securities regulation in the United States.

Mr. Murphy received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2000 and his B.A. from Colgate University in 1997.
