Janice Lee, Ph.D., is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Intellectual Property Practice. Dr. Lee's practice focuses on patent procurement and litigation support. She is also involved in portfolio management and development, as well as due diligence for intellectual property asset transactions.

Dr. Lee’s practice includes matters related to biotechnology, chemistry, and materials engineering, and her technical areas of experience prior to entering the legal profession included tissue engineering, stem cells, and peptide synthesis. Dr. Lee has published several articles and is an inventor of two patents in these fields.

Dr. Lee earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2010. She received her Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2007, where she developed bio-synthetic hybrid materials and stem cell coculture systems for musculoskeletal tissue engineering. She received her B.S. in materials science and engineering from Cornell University in 2002.

Dr. Lee is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is also fluent in Korean and Japanese.
