Anthony C. Roth is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property and Litigation Practices. Mr. Roth has handled federal civil litigation and arbitrations involving patent, trade secret, employment restriction, and other issues.
Mr. Roth's practice is focused primarily on intellectual property litigation and arbitration involving medical devices, computer and semiconductor products, and manufacturing processes. He has acted as trial counsel in numerous patent infringement and trade secret cases pending in U.S. District Courts throughout the United States and has tried patent infringement disputes before U.S. District Courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and arbitration panels. He also has briefed and argued patent case appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Roth is a member of the ITC Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Roth clerked for Justice James L. Ryan of the Michigan Supreme Court and for Chief Judge Pierce Lively of the Sixth Circuit. Following his clerkship, Mr. Roth worked for two years as a trial lawyer in the Civil Division, Torts Branch of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he participated in the defense and trial of asbestos company claims against the government.
Mr. Roth is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Michigan and before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Court of Federal Claims; and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First, Third, Sixth, and Federal Circuits.
