Sarah E. Pontoski is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Pontoski represents employers in a wide range of employment matters, including single-plaintiff actions and class and collective action discrimination and wage and hour matters. She also handles employee benefits litigation and litigation related to the protection of trade secrets and other intellectual property rights, as well as the prevention of unfair competition.

In addition to her litigation background, Ms. Pontoski counsels clients regarding reductions in force, decisions regarding adverse employment actions, and compliance with the FLSA, state wage and hour laws, the FMLA, USERRA, and both federal and state antidiscrimination laws. Ms. Pontoski also advises clients with respect to the protection of their trade secrets, as well as their obligations when they hire employees who have entered into noncompetition and/or nonsolicitation agreements with former employers. She has conducted internal wage and hour audits to assist clients in properly classifying employees as exempt or nonexempt and has represented clients in connection with both federal and state Department of Labor audits in which she negotiated favorable settlements of violations.

Ms. Pontoski earned her J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2003 and her B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, in psychology from Pennsylvania State University in 2000.

Ms. Pontoski is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
