Rollin B. Chippey, II is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Recent trial experience includes court and jury trials in both state and federal courts including a one-month trial involving the breach of an option agreement to purchase real property; a four-month trial involving theft of trade secrets issues; a three-month trial involving breach of contract claims in connection with large military procurement contracts; a two-week trial involving breach of lease issues; a six-month trial involving mortgage banking-related entities; a four-week trial involving manufacturers of polyurethane applications; a one-week trial involving claims of trademark infringement and antitrust violations; a one-week trial involving a landlord-tenant dispute; a three-week trial involving trade secrets; and a three-week trial involving a stock option plan. Employment experience includes defense of employers in complex wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and racial discrimination cases. Recent representations have included negotiation and drafting of complex license and distribution agreements in telecommunications industry, as well as the defense of land use entitlements.

Mr. Chippey has a legal and technical background that includes Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, a law clerk position with Judge Nathaniel R. Jones, U.S. District Court, and Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Chippey has represented Advanced Fibre Communications, Inc., Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Benicia Industries, MediaPlex, Inc., Cisco Systems, Chiron Corporation, Prudential Insurance Company, and Catellus Development Corporation.

Mr. Chippey is admitted to practice in California and before all California state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
