Amy J. Conway-Hatcher is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Conway-Hatcher’s practice covers a broad range of white collar investigation, litigation, and corporate compliance counseling matters. She represents clients in connection with complex and sensitive corporate internal investigations, as well as criminal and civil enforcement matters before the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney's Offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other federal and state regulators. Ms. Conway-Hatcher has represented clients in a variety of matters involving healthcare fraud, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other international regulations, securities fraud, tax fraud, and environmental violations. She represents companies and individuals in all phases of investigations and enforcement proceedings, including major representations in the life sciences, financial services, technology, and energy industries.

Ms. Conway-Hatcher regularly counsels clients, including boards of directors, audit committees, and management, on matters related to the development, implementation, evaluation, and auditing of internal compliance and ethics programs. She also advises companies on compliance issues in the context of M&A and investment transactions, third-party due diligence, and compliance policies, procedures, and training. Ms. Conway-Hatcher has written, lectured, and conducted training on compliance issues, including sales and marketing practices in the life sciences industry and compliance with global anticorruption laws across industries.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis in 2000, Ms. Conway-Hatcher was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia for more than six years. As a federal prosecutor, she served in an elite trial unit that focused on investigating and prosecuting some of the city's most difficult and high-profile violent crimes. She conducted many grand jury investigations, served as lead trial counsel in dozens of complex criminal trials, and received numerous Department of Justice Special Achievement awards.

Ms. Conway-Hatcher earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 1993. She earned her B.A., with honors, from the University of Vermont in 1990. Following law school, she clerked for Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who currently sits on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Ms. Conway-Hatcher is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
