Amy J. Conway-Hatcher is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Conway-Hatcher’s practice concentrates on the representation of corporate and individual clients in the context of internal investigations, regulatory inquiries and enforcement matters, criminal grand jury investigations and prosecutions, parallel civil proceedings, and related debarment proceedings. Ms. Conway-Hatcher has represented clients before the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other federal and state regulators. She counsels clients on a wide variety of federal and state enforcement, regulatory, and corporate compliance-related matters including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), health care, securities, tax, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act issues. Ms. Conway-Hatcher handles major representations in the life sciences and securities industries.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Conway-Hatcher served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia for more than six years. During her tenure with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she gained trial experience, conducted numerous grand jury investigations, and received several Department of Justice Special Achievement awards. Following law school, she clerked for Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who currently sits on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ms. Conway-Hatcher earned her J.D. from The Catholic University's Columbus School of Law in 1993. She earned her B.A., with honors, from the University of Vermont in 1990.
Ms. Conway-Hatcher has appeared as a legal commentator on CNN, Fox News Channel, and MSNBC.
Ms. Conway-Hatcher is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
