Laura A. Livaccari is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property and Litigation Practices. Ms. Livaccari focuses her practice on litigation of intellectual property and complex commercial matters, with particular emphasis on patent litigation. She has handled all aspects of intellectual property matters, from inception through appeals, and has participated in bench and jury patent trials, including:
- Representation of medical device manufacturers, including participation in a recent three-week liability trial concerning external fixation devices and in all aspects of discovery and settlement in a case involving perioperative temperature management systems.
- Representation of pharmaceutical companies in suits brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act, including successful three-week trial between Japanese pharmaceutical company and generic pharmaceutical company involving treatment of ear infections.
- Representation of semiconductor and LCD display manufacturers in all aspects of pretrial proceedings, including participation in Markman hearings and preparation of successful dispositive motions.
In addition, Ms. Livaccari has represented clients in all aspects of proceedings in complex commercial matters in state, federal, and appellate courts and in arbitration, including breach of contract, fraud, and antitrust actions.
Ms. Livaccari received her J.D. from the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1994 and her B.S., cum laude, from Boston College, Carroll School of Management in 1990.
Ms. Livaccari is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.
