Stanley F. Lechner is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Lechner has over 20 years of experience in representing corporations and public employers in the areas of labor and employment relations and labor and employment litigation. He has represented employers on matters such as mergers and acquisitions, pensions and health benefits, collective bargaining, employee benefits litigation, and employment discrimination. Mr. Lechner is also co-chair of the Labor and Employment Workforce Change Subpractice Group. He regularly counsels clients in a broad range of workforce change matters, including corporate due diligence, restructuring, reductions in force, and corporate transactions.

Mr. Lechner assists employers, employer associations, and trust funds regarding management-union relations, contract negotiations and administration, grievances and arbitrations, and matters before the National Labor Relations Board.

Mr. Lechner’s litigation experience includes cases brought under the Labor-Management Relations Act, the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and various contract and tort-based theories. He has represented employers in employment-related disputes before government agencies and in arbitrations, at preliminary injunction hearings, at trial and in the appellate courts. Representative cases include class actions, multiparty actions and individual suits.

Mr. Lechner is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania.
