Lavanga V. Wijekoon is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Attorneys in this practice regularly advise clients on virtually every type of labor and employment issue, from international counseling to management relations and labor disputes. Attorneys include the former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association and fellows in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Wijekoon served as a law clerk to Judge Marywave Van Deren of the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II, and was an extern to Judge Marsha J. Pechman of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Mr. Wijekoon received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2009. While in law school, he served as an editor for the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal and was a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court team. He also received awards for his field research and legislative recommendations on human trafficking in India and Nepal. Mr. Wijekoon received his M.A. in international studies from the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington in 2009 and his B.A., magna cum laude, in political science and international studies from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2004.
