Tonya G. Gaskins is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Gaskins focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation matters, including insurance recovery, antitrust, patent, securities, contract disputes, real estate, and several pro bono family law and predatory lending cases.
Ms. Gaskins maintains an active pro bono practice, often serving as counsel for indigent individuals victimized by predatory lending and appearing on numerous occasions as pro bono counsel before the Family Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. A former educator, Ms. Gaskins views her work with children and service to the community as a significant part of her legal practice.
Ms. Gaskins earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2003, where she was a member of the Catholic University Law Review, recipient of the Miriam Rooney Scholarship for Academic Excellence, and active on a number of student organizations. She earned her B.S. in secondary English education from Bowie State University in 1996 and her B.A. in English from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1994.
Ms. Gaskins is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
