Lia N. Brooks is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Attorneys in this practice regularly advise clients on virtually every type of labor and employment issue, from international counseling to management relations and labor disputes. Attorneys include the former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association and fellows in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Brooks was an associate at a boutique firm in New York, where she represented corporations and individuals in commercial, employment, white collar criminal, and intellectual property disputes in state and federal court, in arbitrations and mediations, and before regulatory agencies. After graduating from law school, Ms. Brooks was an associate in the litigation department of a major international law firm based in New York, where she represented clients in government and internal investigations.
Ms. Brooks earned her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 2003, where she was an associate editor of the Fordham Law Review, was named to Order of the Coif, and received the Fordham Law Prize. She received her B.S. in policy analysis from Cornell University in 1997.
Ms. Brooks is admitted to practice in New York only and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
