Ingrid A. Myers is a partner in Morgan Lewis’s Business and Finance Practice and Energy Transactions Practice. Her practice focuses on project development—particularly engineering, procurement, and construction arrangements for energy and other infrastructure projects—and encompasses mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and securities law. Ms. Myers regularly represents independent power producers and utilities in the development of new power generating projects, including nuclear, coal, natural gas, and solar power. She also represents other clients in the energy industry, including oil and gas, coal mining, and construction companies.

Ms. Myers assists clients with all aspects of commercial arrangements related to project development, including land and water rights acquisition campaigns. She also assists with drafting and negotiating fuel supply, interconnection, and transmission agreements; power purchase agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, and technology licenses; fixed price, cost reimbursable, and hybrid EPC agreements; and construction management, EPCM, engineering and technical services, and equipment supply agreements. She has worked on projects throughout the United States and in Australia, Europe, Japan, Mexico, and the Middle East. Recent examples include natural gas liquefaction facilities; solar, nuclear, coal-fired, and natural gas-fired power generating facilities; and coal mining facilities.

Ms. Myers has also represented clients in a wide range of other business transactions, including in connection with the acquisition and disposition of power generating facilities and projects, pipelines, local and regional electric and natural gas utilities, and mining, aerospace, and life science companies. In addition, she represents clients in securities transactions, including public and private debt and equity offerings, and she regularly advises clients on compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements.

Before attending law school, Ms. Myers worked as a geologist for several companies, most recently Newmont Exploration—a subsidiary of Newmont Gold Corporation, and has concentrated experience in the mining industry. She has also worked as a geologist in the petroleum industry.

Ms. Myers received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. While in law school, she interned for Judge Harry L. Hupp of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She received her Ph.D. in geology from James Cook University of North Queensland, Australia and her M.S. and B.S. in geoscience from the University of Nevada.

Ms. Myers is admitted to practice in California and Nevada only.
