A. Lauren Carpenter is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Carpenter focuses her practice on business litigation. She has litigated in a wide range of complex business and commercial disputes, and she has an extensive background in consulting and writing in complex civil litigation, as well as appellate practice. Her background extends into numerous areas of substantive law, including securities, products liability, insurance, contracts, commercial torts, environmental, constitutional, antitrust, bankruptcy, and employment. She has represented clients in both federal and state court proceedings.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Carpenter practiced at law firms in Boston and Dallas.
Ms. Carpenter received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1984. While in law school, she was editor-in-chief of the UCLA Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and a member and associate editor of the UCLA-Alaska Law Review. Ms. Carpenter earned her B.A. from Stanford University in 1980, where she was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Carpenter is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Massachusetts and the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First, Sixth, and Seventh Circuits.
