Shannon A. Lang is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Lang focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and has experience litigating products liability cases, mass torts, insurance disputes, and employment matters, including whistleblower retaliation and discrimination claims.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Lang was an associate at a major international law firm, where she gained experience preparing dispositive, non-dispositive, and post-trial motions; conducted discovery; and prepared witnesses for deposition and trial. She was also a member of a trial team for a bellwether products liability action that resulted in a favorable jury verdict. Ms. Lang has counseled clients on all facets of litigation strategy, with a particular focus on risk management and employment law issues.
Ms. Lang served as a judicial clerk to Judge Nancy F. Atlas of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas from 2007 to 2008, and to Judge Edward L. Hogshire of the Charlottesville Circuit Court, 16th Judicial Circuit of Virginia, in 2007.
Ms. Lang earned her J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was an editor for the Virginia Law Review. She earned her M.S. in forensic science from Marshall University and her B.A. in sociology, cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from San Diego State University.
Ms. Lang is admitted to practice in Texas, California, and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of California, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
