Polly A. Hayes is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Her practice focuses on a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on healthcare and business contract disputes. She has represented clients in state and federal courts across the country, as well as in mediations and arbitrations.
Ms. Hayes also has a background in securities arbitrations and disputes relating to asset sales and asset valuation. She was part of a team that represented a national bank in a lawsuit regarding the purchase of asset-backed securities. The matter dealt with disputes regarding contract interpretation and valuation of mortgage-backed securities. Ms. Hayes was also a member of a team that represented a healthcare insurer in nationwide class actions involving the reimbursement of out-of-network benefits.
Ms. Hayes has spoken on reimbursement methodologies for out-of-network healthcare services and the legal considerations arising from the use of medical claims data and ethics in pro bono representations.
Ms. Hayes served as the vice chair of Morgan Lewis's Philadelphia Pro Bono Committee in 2007, and, in 2006, she received a Morgan Lewis Pro Bono Award for her work with low-income taxpayers in Philadelphia. In 2008, Ms. Hayes received a Morgan Lewis Pro Bono Award for leadership and commitment to the pro bono program and its clients.
Ms. Hayes is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
